Here are some of the updates for Term 2.
1. English Holiday Homework
Pupils are required to
write an article review on their learning journal.
- Choose one article from January or February Edition of What's up newsletter
- Cut it out
- Paste on a new page in the learning journal
- Paste the Nanyang Thinking Routine (Heart, Head & Hand guide)
- Pen their thoughts
2. Spelling & Dictation
Spelling test
will be conducted every alternate Wednesdays starting from Week 1 of Term 2.
3. Mock Paper 1
We will have a mock paper
1 consisting of Continuous Writing and Situational Writing on Week 2, Monday, 27 March. It will take 1h 10 minutes so we will use the 3
periods that Monday. Do revise on the text types we have covered so far.
Pupils will be tested on either a formal letter or an e-mail.
Writing and worksheet
files have been returned to the pupils. If your child has not picked them up,
they are with me. Please collect them on Monday when school reopens. For those who have yet to get the files or
dividers, please buy them and file the worksheets in. If any worksheets are
missing, do indicate them at the front of the file and photocopy from their classmate.
Please help them with filing or writing the contents page if they have not done
so.
